Stay-Awake-A-Thon Fights Cancer All Night Long

Third annual event remembers those lost to cancer, gives hope to those fighting it, and raises funds for cancer research.

Hundreds of people came out for the 3rd Annual Stay-Awake-A-Thon at Hendrick Hudson High School Saturday night.  The event remembered those lost to cancer, gave hope and encouragement to those battling the disease, and recognized the families and caregivers who help those with cancer every day.

Twenty-five teams of eight people took part in the event; each member of the team was to raise at least $100, which was donated to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital and the Leo Cancer Fund.

Prior to the start of the event, the Hen Hud Leos raised over $41,000. To donate and see a list of top contributors, top fundraisers, and top teams visit  http://www.active.com/donate/cancerneversleeps
