Peekskill Connection to Yellow Brick Road to be Explored at HVG Chamber Event

There's no place like home and on Tuesday, July 15th, Peekskill's Town Historian will tell you all about your hometown of Peekskill and what it has to do with the "Original Yellow Brick Road."

Click your heels three times and follow the yellow brick road to a fun-filled Summer Soirée at Dylan's Wine Cellar on "The Original Yellow Brick Road."

The Housatonic Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce and Dylan's Wine Cellar are co-hosts of this magical event that will have you wishing you were somewhere over the rainbow where dreams come true. But while you're there, enjoy French wine, snacks and two wonderful presentations.

A special guest, Peekskill's Town Historian and author John J. Curran, will present a lecture entitled: "Peekskill's Yellow Brick Road: Fact and Fiction?" This engaging presentation will ask: What were author Frank Baum's experiences with Peekskill? How do these show up in the "The Wonderful Wizard of OZ" story?
