A flash flood watch for Westchester County and the rest of the region is in effect through Saturday afternoon.
The remnants of Tropical System Andrea will mean "widespread rain"—between two and four inches—across the Tri-State Area through Friday and into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The worst of the precipitation, a maximum hourly rate of an inch, is expected to fall Friday afternoon and Friday night.
"It should be stressed that while we are expecting a prolonger period of rainfall, the main concern during this time period will by flashy responses across the urban areas and small streams" the advisory states.
Peekskill will see a high of 64 degrees Friday, with rain, which could be heavy at times, according to reports. Folks should expect one to two inches.

- Friday night: The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 57. Northeast wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
- Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. North wind 6 to 9 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
