July 25 AM Hudson Line Delays: Twitter

Metro North tweets that there are up to 15 minute delays on the Hudson Line at 8:12 a.m. July 25.

It's due to limited capacity on the tracks and it's part of the continuing fallout from the train derailment a week ago.

Trains have not been running south of Yonkers at night since then; Metro North expects to start service after 10 p.m. by July 27.

According to Metro North's latest dispatch on the progress of the derailment clean-up, crews have removed the remaining three flat cars from the ravine in which the CSX train derailed. All the remaining cars should be out of there by Friday morning.

On July 27 and 28 a substitute train/bus schedule will be in effect to get the recovery work done. Details will be published; check back with Patch for details.

On Monday, July 29, regular train service will resume with the first AM-Peak train, Metro North said.
