PHOTOS: Hen Hud Lions Easter Egg Hunt Draws Hundreds

Hundreds of kids dressed in spring colors jumped at the chance to hunt for Easter Eggs. Add your photos here.

The Hen Hud Lions annual Easter Egg hunt held Sunday drew hundreds of parents and children excited to collect eggs and the candy inside. The Lions and Leos stuffed more than 5,000 Easter Eggs for the hunt.

To keep things fair the group held three different hunts. They laid the eggs on the lawn for the youngest age group to collect first then laid new eggs for two sets of older age groups. The collecting went fast with the older age groups, who scooped up hundreds of the eggs in about one minute.

Bake sales at the event helped raise money for the Leos Stay Awake Athon on May 5. The day also featured a jelly bean guess and large chocolate Easter bunnies were for sale. The Easter Bunny was there for the day and so were Elmo and a big furry lion. Kids got free helium balloons and candy.
