Cortlandt Family Fun Day Brings Community Together

The sixth annual family event was a great success.

The Cortlandt train station was transformed into a party for the town’s free sixth Annual Family Fun Day where families enjoyed midway games, prizes, music, food, face painting, tattoos, hair spray painting, and entertainment.

The family event featured a 30-foot high victory lap slide, two obstacle courses, a jumbo bounce, a live DJ, a dunk cage, and a spinning zero gravity chair.  Other fun activities for kids included a magician, and an exciting demonstration by J.Y. Moon Taekwondo students. Children 6 and under also enjoyed a “small world area."

Local businesses were also present to support the event, including the Croton Cortlandt Center for the Arts (CCCArts), who where helping kids make colorful art projects like spinning wheels.

“We’re having a lot of fun today,” said Cathy Faiella, art instructor at CCCArts.  “This is so great for the kids and their families.”

According to Faiella, taking part in the event also helped them raise new enrollment for the upcoming fall session.
