Hundreds of onlookers cheered the seemingly endless line of marchers in this years Peekskill St. Patrick's Day Parade. The weather cooperated in stark contrast to last year's near complete washout, and cabin fever was soon forgotten as the marchers and musicians welcomed the spring season with high-stepping abandon.
The parade started promptly at 3 p.m., marched down Union Avenue on to Central Avenue, turned left on N. Division Street where a large crowd was gathered by the Gazebo. The Parade continued down Main Street to James Street past the review stand.
Dignitaries included County Exective Rob Astorino, Rep. John Testa, Mayor Mary Foster, and Grand Marshal James Gardiner, among others.
