Dear Community, Friends, and Family:
The Keon Center is sponsoring our 6th Annual Silent Auction on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at the Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant. This year, we are adding a journal of community sponsors and supporters who have made our past events such a great success with their generous donations.
Each year over 100 guests enjoy an evening of great food, music, companionship and suspenseful bidding. Our journal will be distributed to all who attend, and to everyone affiliated with the Center. This is a great way of showing your support for the Keon Center, and it lets others know of your commitment to our mission.
We hope that you will support our auction through a journal ad. Once again we are reaching out to our friends, businesses and organizations in the community for support of this event. There are a few ways you can help:
v Take out an ad in our journal.
v Donate a gift for our silent auction.
v Donate a gift certificate
All donations are tax deductible per IRS Regulation. The form for taking out a journal ad is attached. All forms must be returned to us no later than Tuesday, October 1, 2013.
We thank you in advance for considering this request.
William P. Melville

The Keon Center – C.A.R.C., Inc. will maintain the most comprehensive, vocational life skill training center in Westchester County, offering consumer driven services that foster self respect and dignity through innovative, organized and effective programming, implemented by a dedicated, caring and professional staff in a nurturing and supportive environment.
HISTORY OF THE KEON CENTER
The Keon Center is located in Peekskill, NY. We are a non-for-profit agency that serves over 150 developmentally disabled individuals in both Putnam and Westchester counties. Our center was originally established as a school program in 1954 by families and members of our community who were seeking an alternative to the accepted practice of institutionalizing children who were born with mental retardation and other forms of disabilities.
Over the years, we have evolved from a school and preschool program into a center that provides a variety of services and programs that are geared towards adults wishing to increase their independency, productivity and participation in community living.
