PHS Red Devil makes shot of his life!

The Peekskill Boys Basketball Team squared off against Panas yesterday in the PHS Gymnasium. The Red Devils were looking to avenge a controversial loss from earlier this season.  The game took a heartwarming note when in the last 2 minutes of the game, Coach Lou Panzanaro, told Team Manager Elijah Dabbs to suit up and he was going i nto play.  What happened next brought PHS together and will live as a moment that Elijah will never forget.  To view the story, pix and video, please click here.    http://www.phsnewspaper.org/sports-clubs/2014/02/05/varsity-boys-take-first-home-loss-against-panas/...

In addition to this story, please make note of two upcoming events in PHS Basketball.  Tomorrow,  Thursday, February 6th, at PHS, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team will be playing their last Home game of the season at 6:15pm.  The team will honor the Lady Red Devils Seniors who will be graduating this year.  The next evening, Friday February 7th at 7pm, the Peekskill Boys Varsity Team will have their Senior Night as well.  This will also be the end of an era as the legendary Coach Lou Panzanaro will coach his  last home game ever at Peekskill High School after being the PHS Red Devils Boys Basketball Team Head Coach for more than 30 years.  Please come out and support the Girls and Boys teams on Thursday at 6:15 and Friday at 7pm.  Both days will be HISTORIC! -
