The parade will kickoff at 10:00 a.m at the intersection of Highland and Pemart Avenues and will conclude at approximately 12:00 Noon at Riverfront Green Park. The parade route will wind throughout the City’s downtown to the Waterfront District. The parade route will be as follows:

  • (Start) Highland and Peymart Avenues
  • Highland Avenue to North Division Street
  • North Division Street to South Division Street
  • South Street to Hudson Street
  • Hudson Street to the Waterfront (finish)

The City’s popular Riverfront Concert Series will kickoff Thursday afternoon at Riverfront Green Park with the band “Back to the Garden 1969” playing hits of the 60s and 70s. The concert is free to the public.

Then the main event: A dazzling fireworks display will kickoff at Riverfront Green Park at 9:30 p.m. Thursday night. Both the fireworks display and the parking are free, but parking will be limited.  The public is encouraged to walk, carpool, or take MetroNorth.

The Peekskill Volunteer Fire Department will continue to fully fund the parade and fireworks display this year, as it has done so through private donations each year since 1962.  The City’s Riverfront Concert Series shifts its normal Wednesday performance schedule from July 3 to Thursday, July 4, to accommodate the holiday crowd. It will sponsor the day’s concert performance.
