Hudson River Health Care Offers Open Forum to Answer Questions Related to the Affordable Care Act

Peekskill, NY – Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare), a not-for-profit, federally qualified health care system offering a range of medical services at its facilities throughout New York State, announced today that it will hold an open forum on Saturday, November 2 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill, to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act, its impacts, and how to effectively register for the right health insurance option.  Guest speakers will also offer expert insight, and help separate facts from fiction so patients are adequately informed and feel comfortable applying for coverage.

“Whether it is through our specific health services and programs, or taking the time to provide necessary information on how to enroll for the proper insurance package, our priority is making sure people have access to affordable health care,” said Anne Kauffman, MPH, President and CEO of HRHCare.  “We would like to thank the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Caring for the Homeless of Peekskill, and the Westchester Community Foundation for their partnership and for helping to put together this great program.  We welcome everyone in the Peekskill community to attend.”

The open forum is part of the health promotion project led by HRHCare in partnership with Caring for the Homeless of PeekskillInc. (CHOP) and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (MOBC).  Funding was provided in part by the Westchester Community Foundation.
