Hen Hud Senior Honored by Westchester Legislators

On April 7, the Westchester County Board of Legislators recognized the Westchester County Finalists and Semi-Finalists of the 2014 Intel Science Talent Search in the 8th-floor rotunda of the Michaelian Office Building, in White Plains.

Audrey, a senior at Hen Hud, qualified as a semi-finalist in the Intel competition with her project: “Interaction of a Tricyclic Antidepressant with Specific Sites in the Neurotransmitter Transporter Homolog LeuT.” Audrey worked at Columbia University under Dr. Mathias Quick, who has been guiding her research for the past three years. She was selected from among 1,794 entrants representing 489 high schools in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and seven overseas schools.
