Cortlandt Manor, NY - (October 29, 2012) – Everyone was a winner on October 25 as dozens of women gathered at Hudson Valley Hospital Center to vote on their favorite bra and sip pink drinks all in the service of a good cause: Breast Cancer Awareness.
To raise awareness about steps women should take to prevent breast cancer, Hudson Valley Hospital Center held a health fair with a twist. In addition to the usual health information on mammograms and self-breast exams, the fair featured pink drinks donated by local restaurants and a bra decorating contest with 21 entries. The winner of the contest was Nancy Scott of HVHC’s Emergency Department for her peacock-themed bra “Everyone should be told they are Beautiful” The submissions will be on display at the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center throughout the month of November. To view the entries, visit the Hospital’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/HudsonValleyHospital.
