The Hendrick Hudson Leos Club presented a check for $24,500 to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital as part of the proceeds from their 3rd annual “Stay Awake a Thon”. The Stay Awake a Thon was created to bring the community together to support those touched by cancer. Leo Advisor Debbie Costello said, “This is an opportunity for us to celebrate with cancer survivors, remember those who lost their battle, and provide support and encouragement to those currently battling this disease. The success of this event is because of the generosity of the wonderful people in our community.”
50% of the money went to the Children’s Hospital, and the other 50% is going to the Leo Local Community Cancer Fund. Leo President Danny Briggi said, “The cancer fund was created to provide financial assistance to those in our community battling this disease.”
