Virginia Rederer Honored as Woman of Distinction

Sen. Greg Ball and Village of Buchanan officials honored Virginia Rederer on Monday night.

Theand New York State Senator Greg Ball honored Buchanan resident Virginia Rederer as a 40th Senate District Woman of Distinction Monday night.

In Buchanan Mayor Sean Murray's Recommendation letter he wrote:

Mrs. Rederer has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Hendrick Hudson Schools and as an Adjunct Professor for Mercy College and Fordham University. Besides her academic contributions and awards she has contributed to other community organizations such as the Buchanan Seniors, Hudson Valley Hospital CDenter Auxiliary, and the Hendrick Hudson Community Education Foundation. Mrs. Rederer has received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from Fordham University and is very active in her local church. These are just some of the reasons I believe Mrs. Rederer would make a great addition to the 40th District's Women of Distinction."
