State Reps Hold Local Office Hours, Ray Blue at PMS

Here are five things you need to know today, Feb. 7

 

1.    Ray Blue at PMS

    In honor of black history month Ray Blue is performing for Peekskill students throughout the next few weeks. Today is his second performance at 5 p.m. with a theme of Blues, swing, rhythm and blues. His last history of jazz performance will be on Feb. 14 and will be a exploration of BeBop, Modal and Modern Jazz. These appearances are arranged for the Learning Enrichment Activities Program, or LEAP, administered by by Naima Smith Moore, Assistant Principal.

    2. Aida at the Paramount

      You can catch a showing of the famous opera Aida at the Paramount Center for the Arts at 6:30 p.m.

      3.    Assemblywoman Sandy Galef Holds Town Meeting

        On Saturday, Feb. 11 Assemblywoman Galef will hold a town meeting at Peekskill City Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

        4.    Senator Greg Ball Holds Mobile Office

          Sen. Greg Ball will hold office hours at Buchanan Village Hall at 10 a.m. Wednesday. He is looking for constituents to come out and talk about any questions or concerns they have about their district.

          5.    Peekskill Board of Education Work Session

            The Peekskill BOE will hold a work session at 6 p.m. in the administration building tonight.
