Police Drug Raid Nets Crack, PCP for Sale

Peekskill police allegeldy recovered 15 bags of PCP and 20 grams of crack, all packaged for sale, at a house at 1228 S. Division Street during a drug raid around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. The raid came following an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine from the address. The had a search warrant when conducting the operation, which also resulted in three arrests. 

The target of the investigation, 53-year-old Juanita Robinson, was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies; and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.  She was also charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, because two teenage children were found in the residence, which is used by others to use narcotics.

Two people located inside the apartment at the time of the raid were also charged after a quantity of crack cocaine and a smoking device were located next to them. James Wright, a 58-year-old Queens resident, and Regina Eversley, a 57-year-old Peekskill resident, were each charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Robinson was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court on April 4, while Wright and Eversley were released on their own recognizance and are due to appear in Peekskill City Court on April 5 at 11 a.m.

Sgt. Joe Gomez, Detective Anthony Malfitano, and Officer Joe McGann conducted the investigation and made the arrests.
