Peekskill, Cortlandt Sculptors Featured in ArtsWestchester Show

Peekskill’s , Cortlandt Manor’s B. Avery Syrig and Montrose’s Daan Padmos will showcase their intriguing sculptures in ArtsWestchester’s Scupture: On and Off the Wall exhibit for the next two months.

The exhibit features art by 20 Westchester artists chosen based on recommendations from museum directors and gallery owners from around the region of sculptors that accurately represent the range of innovative three-dimensional work.

“The work in this exhibition speaks to a diverse range of artistic viewpoints as it spans monumental and miniature, figurative and abstract, intricate and minimal.  Each artist brings a new complexity to the exhibition, but they all have the capacity to capture the viewer’s imagination,” said ArtsWestchester CEO, Janet Langsam.

The works will be on view in the Arts Exchange at ArtsWestchester, located at 31 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, and will also be the centerpiece of ArtsWestchester’s 13th annual ArtsBash, a celebration of art and food taking place on May 18.  The gallery opening is on Friday, March 30,  from 6-8:30p.m.

You can view the exhibit March 31, 2012 through May 20, 2012 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 12-5p.m.
