Funeral Scheduled for Peekskill Police Officer
A wake has been scheduled for Julian Hermosillo, the off-duty police officer killed during a two-vehicle crash in Orange County, has been scheduled for Thursday in Peekskill. His funeral will take place Friday in El Cajon, Calif.

The City of Peekskill (New York) Police Department regrets to announce the death of Officer Julian Hermosillo, age 29.

Police Officer Hermosillo was tragically killed in an off duty automobile accident on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at about 8:45 P.M. on Route 17 near Goshen, N.Y.
Officer Hermosillo joined the Peekskill Police Department on June 2, 2010 after serving as a Police Officer with the Town of Walkill Police Department.

Julian Hermosillo honorably served in the United States Army from 2001 – 2005 and was a combat veteran of the war in Afghanistan.
Officer Hermosillo is survived by his mother, Aida Guillen and his sister, Erika Hermosillo both of El Cajon, California.
A wake service will be held for Officer Hermosillo on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY (Telephone 914 737-1363).
Officer Hermosillo will be flown to his family in El Cajon, California on Friday, Nov. 16, where a funeral service will be held and his burial will take place at a U.S. National Military Cemetery in San Diego, California.
